Persimmon...

So finally I've made it to the last of the Super 6! Yay! It has be a very few weeks and it's very hard to get these all done but I'm so glad I did! :)

So Persimmon, aka Sharon Fruit, I have to be honest and say that I still don't like them. I may try using them in a cake if they're in the Super 6 again but otherwise I think I'll stick to not buying them.




Baked Persimmon

Ingredients:

Persimmon
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Ginger
Brown Sugar
Coconut Oil

Method:


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°c/160°c Fan/Gas Mark 5.
  2. Chop the fruit in half across the middle.
  3. Put the fruit in a baking tray, cut side up, place a bit of coconut oil on top and sprinkle with the cinnamon, ginger and sugar. Cover with tinfoil.
  4. Bake for 40-50 minutes until the fruit is soft but still holding it's shape. 
  5. Uncover and put under a high grill for 5-10 minutes until golden. 
  6. Serve with plain/greek yoghurt or vanilla ice cream.
